Group Clay Parties

2 hour session during business hours

Ideal for groups of 6-10 people! Enjoy a hands-on clay experience in a communal setting during business hours, with your own dedicated space in the studio for a fun and creative gathering.

Pricing: $40/person for 2 hours
Weekends 4-8 people
Weekdays 4-10 people
Nonprofits enjoy a 20% discount!

Includes:

  • Choice of handbuilt project: tiles, mugs, bowls, or a custom project (to be arranged with the studio host).

  • 30-minute demonstration by Ilwaco Artworks staff.

  • All materials provided: clay, glazes, bisque, and glaze firing.

  • 2 hours of studio time for hands-on creativity.


Your retreat group can sit together, bring N/A beverages and snacks and make tea in our gallery kitchen. (Depending on what day/hours you are coming, the studio/gallery might be open to members/the public).

Private Group Clay Parties

3 hour session with the entire studio to yourself

Perfect for groups of 5-12 people! Enjoy an exclusive clay experience with private studio access for your party. Create, relax, and have fun in a fully dedicated space, making it an ideal setting for special celebrations or team bonding.

Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, or have the host apply for a banquet permit to include beer or wine. Set the mood with your favorite music and make it a truly personalized experience for your group.

Information for your party:

  • Groups & Parties are for ages 14+ (youth 13 years or younger must be accompanied by adult).

  • Please remember that our space is industrial, so please wear layers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Aprons will be available for you to use.

  • The finished pieces will be ready in about 4-6 weeks. Individual participants are welcome to pick up their finished work at that time or see shipping options:

Shipping Options:

  1. Individual participants can pay for postage plus a $15 handling fee to have their pieces wrapped, boxed, and shipped by Ilwaco Artworks.

  2. The group leader can opt to have all finished pieces packed in a single box and shipped to one location. In this case, the group leader is responsible for postage plus a $15 handling fee.

Policies:

  • A deposit of $150 is collected at the time of booking. Once your date is confirmed, we’ll send you an invoice to complete your reservation. The deposit will be credited toward your final bill.

  • No pets are allowed in the studio.

  • Alcohol is permitted only for private clay parties and requires the party host to apply for and receive a banquet permit. This is an easy process to apply for online and costs $25.
