CERAMIC ARTIST RESIDENCIES ON THE WASHINGTON COAST

Our ceramic artists-in-residence enjoy cozy accommodations at the Sou'wester Lodge in Seaview, WA, just 5 minutes from us, along with access to our studio, tools, and glazes making it easy to move between studio time and beach time.

These residencies are self-directed and artists are encouraged to use their time in ways that best support their process, whether starting or advancing a project or experimenting with new ideas.

There is no application fee:

Two people walking along a wet beach at sunset, with the sky painted in pastel colors and their reflections visible in the sand.
Unfinished pottery bowls and cups on a worktable, some stacked, in a ceramics studio.
Person holding two empty, off-white ceramic bowls outdoors.

Standard Ceramic Residency:

Two women in a ceramics studio, one holding a sculpted ceramic face with a cartoonish expression and the other smiling. They are surrounded by art supplies and unfinished ceramic pieces, with wooden tables and hanging string lights in the background.

Our standard residency is available year-round and is designed for experienced ceramic artists who wish to work solely with clay during their stay. Residencies typically run from Sunday at 4p to Friday at 11a. Weekly rates range from $200 to $575 plus taxes and a $75 studio fee.

Teaching Residency:

Group of people in an art or craft studio holding decorated ceramic tiles.

Open to local, regional, and national ceramic educators, this program is designed for artists eager to share their skills. The residency includes accommodations and a teaching stipend.
