Ilwaco Artworks is a community ceramics studio on the Washington coast offering open access studio residencies for slow, process-driven making.
Spend a week, two weeks, or a full month working just steps from the ocean.
This is an invitation to slow down, settle in, and let summer and salt air shape your practice.

Out of town residents can enjoy 20% off a stay at the Sou’wester Lodge and Vintage Travel Trailer Resort just 5minutes North of Ilwaco Artworks. Use this link the book your stay. (Please note that the Sou’wester does not offer stays greater than 14 days)

Ilwaco Artworks Community Clay Studio - 109 1st Ave N., Ilwaco, WA
This is a self-directed ceramics residency intended for ceramicists with prior experience that are comfortable working independently. We welcome experimentation, skill-building, and open-ended making, whether you are developing a focused body of work or simply looking for dedicated time and space to deepen your practice with clay.
RESIDENCY OPTIONS:
1 Week — $80
2 Weeks — $120
1 Month — $160

Open studio access during business hours
Shared community ceramics studio environment
Use of tools and equipment
Glazes and kiln firings
Studio orientation (Mondays at 1pm)
Kiln coordination and firing support
Clay sold separately
Whether you are experimenting, building a body of work, or simply needing space to make away from home, this residency is open to you. We welcome all makers who are comfortable working independently in a shared studio setting.
