Ilwaco Artworks is a community ceramics studio on the Washington coast offering open access studio residencies for slow, process-driven making.
Spend a week, two weeks, or a full month working just steps from the ocean.
This is an invitation to slow down, settle in, and let summer and salt air shape your practice.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Residents receive a discounted stay at the nearby Sou’wester Lodge. (5min North of the studio)
This is part of the residency experience and supports a fully immersive coastal studio stay.

The Sou’wester Lodge - 3728 J Pl., Seaview, WA
This is a self-directed ceramics residency, not a structured class.
Residents work independently in a shared studio environment with access to tools, equipment, glazes, and kiln firings. We support experimentation, skill-building, and open-ended making, whether you are developing a body of work or simply needing time away to work with clay.
RESIDENCY OPTIONS:
1 Week — $80
2 Weeks — $120
1 Month — $160

Open studio access during business hours

Glazes and kiln firings
Studio orientation (Mondays at 1pm)
Kiln coordination and firing support
Add Key access (6am–12am) for $40

Whether you are experimenting, building a body of work, or simply needing space to make away from home, this residency is open to you. We welcome all makers who are comfortable working independently in a shared studio setting.
